Passive RADAR Altimeter, Flight Simulation Mode, and Real-Time Descent Profile Information In Latest Version

The latest version of WingX Pro7 features new Passive RADAR Altimeter technology for iPad and iPhone. The Passive RADAR Altimeter displays terrain elevation and the aircraft’s approximate AGL; together with Dynamic Terrain Overlays and Synthetic Vision, Hilton Software says WingX Pro7 continues to significantly reduce the risk of Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT).

NTSB Releases Factual Report On 2011 Double-Fatal Accident

Fort Wayne, IN Surgeon And Wife Fatally Injured, 16-Year-Old Son Survived

The FAA has released a factual report for an accident which occurred on June 24th of last year in which a noted Indiana neurosurgeon and his wife were fatally injured. Their 16-year-old son, who was also aboard the Beech Bonanza when it went down, was critically injured in the accident. The weather was reported to be IFR, but the pilot held a valid instrument certificate and according to his logbook had performed 19 instrument approaches since his last proficiency check June 25, 2010.
