Inhofe Introduces Pilot’s Bill Of Rights 2

Would Reform Medical Certification Process, Extend Due Process Rights, Increase Transparency In Investigations And Enforcement Actions

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK), a member of the Senate General Aviation Caucus and certified flight instructor with more than 11,000 flight hours, today introduced S. 571, the Pilot’s Bill of Rights 2 (PBOR 2), legislation to expand the 3rd class medical exemption for recreational pilots and broaden the protections provided in the original Pilot’s Bill of Rights authored by Inhofe and signed into law in 2012.

FAA Certifies Continental IO-360-AF Alternative Fuel Engine

Flight Design Scheduled For The First Delivery Of The New Powerplant

The FAA has granted type certification to Continental Motors Group for its IO-360-AF (Alternative Fuel) engine. The certification received by the company in January. The 6-cylinder IO-360-AF is certified for standard 100LL as well as unleaded 91UL avgas now available in several countries. Flight Design GmbH is expected to take delivery of the first certified engine later this year.
