GAMA also expanded the data to include delivery data for helicopter manufacturers. Most general aviation aircraft flying in the world today were built by GAMA member companies.

Piper Shows Gains In Revenue, Deliveries In 2012

Up 13 Percent Over 2011

Piper Aircraft Inc. ended 2012 with increased annual revenue from new aircraft sales of $148,968,967, up more than 13 percent from $131,263,539 in 2011. The revenue increase was a result of a 16 percent rise in new Piper deliveries to 158 aircraft in 2012 from 136 the previous year.

FAA Issues SAIB For Super Cub Airplanes

Cracking Discovered In Weld Joints In Tail Post

The FAA has issued a Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin (SAIB) for owners and operators of certain Piper Aircraft, Inc. Model PA-18 (L-21) airplanes. The agency has been alerted to cracking discovered in the weld joint of the aft fuselage tail post of an airplane operated outside the U.S.
