Systems developer Alakai Technologies and safety analyst CAPACG
recently announced the Federal Aviation Administration has issued
an amended Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for installation of
Alakai's wireless Broadband Units on Cirrus SR20 and SR22
aircraft.
Avionics supplier Avidyne Corporation announced Tuesday its new
MLX770 two-way datalink transceiver has received a European
Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC)
that extends the EASA Approved Model List (AML) to include
unpressurized composite aircraft such as the Cirrus SR20 and
SR22.
Piper Aircraft, which received $32 million in local and state
incentives earlier this year to stay and expand in Vero Beach, FL,
has reportedly started terminating employees, and is not revealing
how deep the cuts will be.
