Wichita Aero Club Will Host Acting FAA Administrator Michael Huerta Next Week

Luncheon, Which Was Added To Schedule, Will Begin At 12:30 PM To Accommodate Speaker

There’s a very tight interval between the Wichita Aero Club’s September luncheon, which featured IAM International President Tom Buffenbarger on Thursday, the 27th, and the next luncheon, scheduled for October 11 at which Michael P. Huerta, the Acting Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, will address the organization. In order to accommodate Mr. Huerta’s schedule, the WAC added the luncheon to its schedule and has pushed the starting time back to 12:30 PM.

Oshkosh, Winnebago County Try Again For Aviation Industrial Park

Previous Proposal Was Rejected In February

The county executive of Winnebago County, WI, said Thursday that he was again proposing a partnership with the City of Oshkosh to create an aviation industrial park next to Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH). A similar proposal offered in February failed when county board did not pass the authority to borrow money to purchase the necessary land by the required three-quarters majority.

Avidyne's First Certification With Aspen EFD1000 Pro PFD

The FAA has granted an STC to Avidyne Corporation for the installation of their DFC90 Digital Autopilot in Cessna 182-series aircraft when interfaced with the Evolution Pro Primary Flight Display (PFD) from Aspen Avionics. This is the first in a series of DFC90 certifications in aircraft with the Aspen PFD.
