FAA Approves $2.55 Million For Repaving of Rwy 10/28
Local officials are cheering the news that the FAA has awarded a
$2.55 million grant for improvements to runway 10/28 at Beaver
County Airport in Pennsylvania. Congressman Jason Altmire made the
announcement last week. Airport Director Beth LaValle calls it
"great news."
Cessna 310 Pilot Ran Out Of Gas 13 Miles Short Of Hilo
A 65-year-old man delivering a Cessna 310 to Hawaii was forced
to ditch the airplane in the Pacific Ocean 13 miles short of the
coast of Hilo on Friday when he ran out of fuel.The delivery pilot
alerted ATC about 500 miles off the coast that he was running short
of fuel.
The control tower at Rogue Vally International-Medford Airport
in Oregon is visible not only on the airport grounds ... but from
the the road which carries traffic by the field. With airports
feeling the same budget crunch as everyone else, officials at KMFR
are speculating about whether all that blank concrete can be turned
into a revenue-generating opportunity.
