Lockheed Martin celebrated 40 years of aircraft testing in its
Low Speed Wind Tunnel (LSWT) this week. On September 20, 1967 the
first aircraft test, a crew egress trial for the C-5A Galaxy, was
conducted.
Aero-News has learned the city of Amarillo, TX has granted the
Texas Aviation Historical Society a four month extension on its
lease, to give it time to allow for removal of items from the
former English Field Air & Space Museum facility to be
transferred to other museums.

missile. It was really neat to see the product of what you
practice."

All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 242 -- nicknamed "The Bats" --
on recent live-missile training exercises. The squadrons launched
approximately 28 live missiles at decoys jettisoned into the skies
over a training area off the coast of Mexico.
