We have been covering the news about FAR 107, which addresses non-recreational UAS operations, since the regulations became final in June. Now, the FAA is reminding everyone that the regulation actually takes effect on August 29. Now the task of scrambling for a charge

Aero-TV: Trig Avionics Update - The TY96/TY97 and the New TMA45

Add Some Trig To Your Avionics Stack…

While at the EAA AirVenture 2016, ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, checked in with Trig Avionics to see what’s new and to get the inside scoop on their products. Tom spoke with Trig Avionics Marketing Manager, John Roper, and in this discussion they talk about radios. While the high-end all-glass avionics combine the radio into the display, Trig Avionics fills the market need for individual panel mounted radios, transponders, and audio selector panels. Tom’s first question has to do with their TY96 radio when he asked what new features we are seeing this year.

Barnstorming (Revisited): 'A Daisy A Day'

From 2011: Living Life, Flying High, Cherishing My Memories Of Oshkosh

A Note From Jim Campbell, circa 08.22.16: Seven years have passed since the day Vicki's life ended. And yet my world still found a way to revolve, while I reluctantly lived my life and did my best to find all that was right and good and wonderful in my existence. I am amazed to be where I am... quite happy, incredibly fulfilled, living up to some great challenges, and very happily married... a concept that had I dared even consider it seven years ago, I'd not have believed it. Aero-News: Quote of the Day (08.22.16)

"As this first LM-100J Super Hercules freighter progresses in production, so does a new era in commercial aircraft operations. Our existing L-100 operators have repeatedly shared with us that the only replacement for a Herc is a Super Herc, and we are proud to meet this demand with the LM-100J. There is a significant global requirement for commercial freight operations to support operations in more austere areas. The LM-100J will not only meet these demands, but exceed them by delivering new and unmatched capabilities to the commercial marketspace by transporting cargo on any runway, anywhere, all the time."
