"[T]he Forest Service request for information on June 2nd didn't
request operational service life reports from Lockheed. They asked

Montana's lone Congressman, Denny Rehberg, announced a deal with
the Forest Service to have the government pay for a search of
Lockheed records on the P-2V. Before Neptune can fly the vintage
military aircraft on aerial firefighting missions again, the Forest
Service wants to see a report written when the type was first
developed in 1949 which projects the Orion's life cycle.
