Lufthansa Orders 22 Boeing-Airbus Wide-Body Jets

On 02 March 2023, Lufthansa Group’s supervisory board approved the purchase of 22 wide-body aircraft worth $7.5-billion at list prices. The order comprises: ten Airbus A350-1000s, five Airbus A350-900s, and seven Boeing 787-9s. Deliveries of subject aircraft are expected to commence by mid-decade.

On the morning of 02 March 2023 Universal Hydrogen—the California energy concern about the commendable endeavor of making hydrogen-powered commercial flight a near-term reality—flew its Lightning McClean, a De Havilland Dash 8-300 regional airliner under partial, hydrogen fuel-cell propulsion.
