Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) A TFR is a regulatory action issued by the FAA via the U.S. NOTAM System, under the authority of United States Code, Title 49. AWAM is an international orgranization, open to both women and men and has membership opportunities for students and corporations. Our membership consists of maintenance technicians, engineers, teachers, scientists, vendors and pilots that support maintenance in one form or another. Our goal is to help women in the aviation maintenance related fields and find ways to network and support each other in this field.
