Air Route Traffic Control Control (ARTCC) These facilities provide air traffic control service to aircraft operating on IFR flight plans within controlled airspace, principally during the enroute phase of flight. Each ARTCC has a traffic management unit (TMU) that interfaces with the Command Center.
