Air Route Traffic Control Center. A facility established to
provide air traffic control service to aircraft operating on IFR
flight plans within controlled airspace and principally during the
en route phase of flight. When equipment capabilities and
controller workload permit, certain advisory/assistance services
may be provided to VFR aircraft. There are 20 ARTCCs in the
continental US.

frustrated by the proposal because it seems to lack a true
understanding of how a general aviation airplane fits into a
company’s operations and security culture. I strongly

Transportation Security Administration has scheduled five official
public hearings in early 2009 for the business aviation community
to provide the agency with feedback on its proposed Large Aircraft
Security Program (LASP).
