Flyer Indústria Aeronáutica's locally assembled RV-10 LSA received approval from Brazil's ANAC, making it the first such multi-passenger sportplane in the world. Flyer Indústria Aeronáutica's RV-10 iteration cuts a familiar figure to those leaving the line back home. Line aircraft feature a Lycoming IO-540 with 260 horsepower good for a 211 mph top speed and 20,000-foot ceiling. The Commemorative Air Force has announced a redux of its popular 2019 tour for 2024, which will bring the Douglas C-47 and DC-3 around the country to make the 75th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift. The logistical troubles that accompany a wagon train of vintage air-cooled, radial engined multis will likely result in a small number of varied aircraft throughout the actual tour, but they’ll be on-brand for the D-Day Squadron. This year's new batch of EAA pioneers has been added to the Halls of Fame, with a handful representing each category served by the EAA

NTSB Prelim: Xtremeair GMBH XA42

Once In The Spin, The Rotation Stopped, Then The Airplane Entered A Secondary Spin And Descended To Ground Contact

On November 15, 2023, about 1040 central standard time, an Xtremeair GMBH XA42, N42XM, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Union City, Tennessee. The private pilot receiving instruction and a flight instructor were fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 instructional flight. The airplane was recently purchased by the private pilot and two other pilots. The flight instructor was providing instruction to all three owners for familiarization and to meet insurance requirements. The goal was to meet the insurance requirements and increase each pilot’
