I've owned two airplanes -- a Cessna 120 (for about seven years)
and co-ownership of a Beech Sierra (for six weeks -- a story for
another day). Obviously there were many differences between
the two. One difference was the ability to preflight the
engine.

Aircraft carriers are mobile airports carrying our troops and
equipment to where they are needed. We’ve seen the movies but
how do things really work on an aircraft carrier for the
aviators?

back in order of seniority for open positions and has temporary
replacements continue to work or supervisory personnel continue to
work in their jobs while pilots are on the outside, the union will
