Source: An unidentified tower controller at
Renton (WA) Municipal Airport on August 4, to pilot Fred Bahr. A
Cessna 150 collided with the Bahr's de Havilland DHC-2 thirteen
seconds later, mangling the floatplane's undercarriage and forcing
the Cessna down. The two pilots onboard the 150 were killed in the
accident; the Bahr was able to make an emergency landing on the
grass alongside Runway 33 at Renton.
