Since March 2022, SpaceX has provided Starlink services to Ukraine’s government and people free of charge. On 3 October 2022, SpaceX founder Elon Musk indicated that his company could no longer provide Starlink internet services to Ukraine gratis. The Pentagon—according to two U.S. officials involved in deliberations germane to the Russo-Ukranian conflict—is considering picking up Ukraine’s Starlink tab by delving into the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, a fund devised to provide long-term support to the Ukrainian military by financing contracts with American firms for weapons and battlefield equipment.
Aero Linx: Lucky Dog Rescue Flights
Lucky Dog Rescue Flights is dedicated to providing charitable flights to those in need at no cost, with an emphasis on animal rescue flights. All missions are conducted in private aircraft. This free service is available to financially distressed people who are in time-sensitive, but non-emergency situations due to a medical condition. We transport people for medical treatments and to hospice care and also provide compassion flights so that family members can visit those who are critically ill.
Minimum Obstruction Clearance Altitude (MOCA)
The lowest published altitude in effect between radio fixes on VOR airways, off-airway routes, or route segments which meets obstacle clearance requirements for the entire route segment and which assures acceptable navigational signal coverage only within 25 statute (22 nautical) miles of a VOR.
