Cessna Citation Mustang Achieves Russian Certification

60th Country To Certify The Aircraft

Cessna has received Russian type certification for the Citation Mustang from Russia’s MAK (Interstate Aviation Committee, Aviation Register). The Citation Mustang is now certified in 60 countries. Cessna has delivered more than 200 Mustangs from the company’s Independence, Kansas, facility since April 2007.

On July 31st, EAA AirVenture hosted a unique battle, the likes of which had never been seen by Oshkosh visitors.  On Wittman Runway 18/36, Fagen, Inc. raced its ethanol-powered Orange County Chopper against air show extraordinaire Greg Poe, piloting his Ethanol-Powered Fagen MX-2.  Paul Teutul, Sr., the star of Discovery Channel’s “American Chopper,” drove the ethanol-powered motorcycle in a race to the finish line; it was Poe, however, that came away victorious.

After months, even years, of arduous construction and restoration, it can be a daunting prospect to finalize an aircrafts build; after all, no matter how flawless the craftsmanship underneath, the outside finish often distinguishes an aircraft.  Fabric covering, therefore, represents at least one of the more demanding and challenging aspects to completing a high-quality aircraft restoration.  Recently, Aero-TV spoke with Jeff Paulson, co-owner of Evergreen Aviation Services and Restorations, to get his expertise on the art of fabric covering.
