Airbus Aerial Receives Waiver for Urban BVLOS UAS Flights

Authorized To Conduct Operations Over Populated Areas In North Dakota

The FAA has granted a waiver to Airbus Aerial authorizing Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) operations in Grand Forks, ND without the need for a visual observer. The waiver allows Airbus Aerial to conduct such operations as part of North Dakota Department of Transportation’s UAS Integration Pilot Program (IPP).
