Days after reporting the company had asked for an extension on
the time granted by the FAA to complete certification testing for
its Hawker 4000 super-midsized business jet, officials at Raytheon
have announced a major milestone on that journey has been
completed.

SUMMARY: This amendment revises an existing airworthiness
directive (AD) for Eurocopter France (ECF) Model AS355E, F, F1, F2,
and N helicopters that currently requires certain checks of the
magnetic chip detector plug (chip detector) and the main gearbox
(MGB) oil-sight glass, certain inspections of the lubrication pump
(pump), and replacing the MGB and the pump with an airworthy MGB
and pump, if necessary.
Sikorsky Aircraft and China Aviation Industry Corporation II
(AVIC II) announced Thursday the two companies have signed of a
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for collaboration on the
development and manufacture of civil helicopters.
Representatives with JSSI (Jet Support Services, Inc.) and Adam
Aircraft introduced Thursday their new "Tip-to-Tail" hourly
maintenance cost guarantee programs, which the two companies
developed exclusively for the Adam A500 twin-engine piston and A700
AdamJet aircraft.
