Market Expands For Fire Boss In The United States

New Operator Adds A802 SEAT Aircraft

Fire Boss LLC has announced the purchase of a new Fire Boss by AirPro Aviation. “This company in Arkansas has established itself with use of three A802 SEAT (Single Engine Air Tanker) aircraft. Upon receiving delivery in December of 2020, they will be the 3rd Fire Boss operator in the United States and the 20th Fire Boss based in the country. This confirms we are beyond the early adoption phase of our product. “Word is out that the Fire Boss is a proven, cost-effective aerial firefighter” says Stephen Johnson, Global Sales Director for Fire Boss.

Wingcopter Showcases Emergency Delivery Capabilities

Performs Well During Lake Kivu Challenge

On Tuesday, May 5, the organizing committee of the Lake Kivu Challenge announced that Wingcopter was the winner of the Emergency Delivery category of the Flying Competition, which was part of the 2020 African Drone Forum that took place in February in Rwanda. Also the recipient of a special award for its safety procedures, Wingcopter will receive prize money of GBP 65,000. “We are very proud to be winners of the Lake Kivu Challenge, as this challenge and the African Drone Forum embody the innovative spirit of humanitarian aid and the African drone community as well as the great potential for sustainable drone deployments,” says Tom Plümmer, CEO and co-founder of Wingcopter.

Houston Police Helicopter Accident Kills One, Injures One

On May 2, 2020, about 0203 central daylight time, a model 369E MD Helicopter, N8375F, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Houston, Texas. The pilot sustained serious injuries and the other flight crewmember sustained fatal injuries. The helicopter was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 public aircraft flight. According to initial information from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a Houston Police Department helicopter was on a local flight near the George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport (IAH), near Houston, Texas, and its pilot had contacted air traffic control.
