Consortiq Brings Drone Expertise To The U.S.

Has Opened An Office In Annapolis, MD 

British-based drone consultant Consortiq has opened a new office in Annapolis, MD. The company says the move allows it to be near Washington D.C, a central East Coast drone innovation hub. This new expansion enables it to work closely with the large client base it has already formed in the U.S. during its first years in operation, such as NBC television, and new and prospective customers in the surrounding East Coast territory.

Orbital Insight Announces $50 Million Investment In Drone Imagery Analysis

Series C Funding Led By Sequoia Capital 

Geospatial analytics and software company Orbital Insight, has closed a $50 million Series C round led by existing investor Sequoia Capital, with participation from new investors Envision Ventures, Balyasny Asset Management, Geodesic Capital, ITOCHU Corporation and Intellectus Partners. Previous investors GV, Lux Capital, and CME Ventures participated in the Series C as well. This latest round brings the four-year-old company's total funding to $78.7 million.
