Senator Mark Kelly (Democrat, Arizona), a former U.S. Navy combat pilot and NASA astronaut, has openly opined that the 14 March 2023 incident in which a pair of Russian Su-27 Flanker jet fighters downed a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) over the Black Sea is ascribable to incompetence on the parts of the Russian pilots. Lift's Hexa aircraft made a notable demo for the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB), obtaining approval for additional demonstrations. Bell has announced the signed purchase agreement of a Taiwan-bound 407GXi helicopter, which will soon join Ginger Aviation. Ginger Aviation will put their new aircraft to work checking power lines, assessing electrical infrastructure, and performing site inspections. Ginger's recent birth in 2022 has put them on the prowl for suitable aircraft to meet their twin utilities and aviation heritage.

NTSB Prelim: Bell OH-58A

With A Speed Near Effective Translational Lift At 80% Torque, The Helicopter Suddenly Started To Bounce And Yaw

On February 6, 2023, about 2135 mountain standard time, a restricted category Bell OH-58A helicopter, N36FA, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Yuma, Arizona. The commercial pilot sustained minor injuries. The helicopter was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 137 agricultural aerial application flight. The pilot reported that after the night application of chemical insecticide, he landed on the load truck and the chemical hopper was filled with 50 gallons of water.
