CAE Acquiring L3Harris Technologies' Military Training Business

Selling For A Cool (Very) US$1.05 billion

CAE has entered into a definitive agreement with L3Harris Technologies to acquire L3Harris' Military Training business for US$1.05 billion, subject to customary adjustments (the "Acquisition"). The Acquisition value represents approximately 13.5 times the L3Harris Military Training business estimated adjusted 2020 EBITDA or approximately 10 times, including cost synergies, which are expected to reach a range of C$35 to C$45 million (approximately US$28 to US$35 million) annually by the end of the second year following closing of the Acquisition.

AD 2021-03-17 Requires An Inspection To Determine The Last Replacement Date Of The ELB

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-700-1A10 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report of smoke and signs of an overheating condition from the emergency light battery (ELB) due to excessive corrosion surrounding the internal lead acid batteries, which caused an electrical short circuit that led to the smoke and overheating condition. AD 2021-01-01 Requires Verifying That The Affected Components Are Installed On The Airplane...

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain MHI RJ Aviation ULC Model CL-600-2B19 (Regional Jet Series 100 & 440) airplanes. This AD was prompted by evidence that a revised structural life limit of some components of the nose landing gear (NLG) and/or main landing gear (MLG) was not implemented during repair.
