FAA Issues SAIB For Ailerons On Some Beechcraft Jet Models

Has Received Reports Of Oscillations In Certain Conditions

The FAA has posted a Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin (SAIB) directed to owners, operators, and maintenance personnel of Beechcraft Corporation (Type Certificate Previously Held by Hawker Beechcraft Corporation) Model BAe.125 Series 800A (including C-29A and U-125), 800B, 1000A, and 1000B airplanes and Model Hawker 750, 800 (including variant U-125A), 800XP, 850XP, 900XP, and 1000 airplanes of an airworthiness concern regarding wing/aileron oscillations.

NTSB Releases Prelim In Lear 35 Accident In Florida

Airplane Was Registered In Mexico, Had Completed A Medical Transport Flight

The NTSB has released a preliminary report stemming from an accident which fatally injured four people, who of whom have never been located. The plane went down in the Atlantic Ocean following takeoff November 19 from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (KFLL), Fort Lauderdale, FL. The commercial pilot and a physician on board were lost and presumed fatally injured. The copilot and a flight nurse were fatally injured.

VA Tech Aviation Initiative To Get $2.6 Million For UAV Testing

Virginia FACT Funds To Be Disbursed Over The Next Three Years

The Commonwealth of Virginia announced it will award more than $2.6 million over three years in Federal Action Contingency Trust (FACT) funds to Virginia Tech to operate an unmanned aircraft systems test site in the state, officials from the governor’s office said Monday. The grants will provide Virginia Tech with $1 million in fiscal year 2014, an additional $1.2 million in fiscal 2015, and $437,000 in fiscal 2016.
