Airbus Group Cutting Nearly 600 Helicopter Jobs In France

May Eventually Idle Thousands Of Jobs Across Its Business

Citing a downturn in the oil and gas industry and other factors, Airbus Group SE has announced it is eliminating 582 jobs from Airbus Helicopters. All the cuts will come from the main Airbus Helicopters' base in Marignane, which employs nearly 9,000 people on the outskirts of Paris.

StandardAero Business Aviation announced that it recently surpassed more than 19,000 Honeywell TFE731 turbofan engine Core Zone Inspections (CZIs) and Major Periodic Inspections (MPIs) since first servicing these engines nearly 40 years ago.  In addition to these heavy maintenance services, the company has also responded to more than 5,000 customer requests for mobile services and performed thousands of other services on TFE731 engines.
