New Officers To Lead Citation Jet Pilots Association

Member Growth And Engagement A Top Priority

The Citation Jet Pilots and Owner Pilots Association (CJP) recently completed a successful convention in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Record attendance, along with the participation of 100 Citation jet aircraft, was among the highlights of the convention activities. CJP also announced the establishment of the Citation Jet Pilots Hall of Fame, to be housed at Cessna Aircraft Company headquarters in Wichita, KS.

Members of the International Association of Machinist who have been on strike against Bombardier Learjet in Wichita since October 8 voted Saturday to end their walkout and accept a tentative contract worked out between the union and the company. Employees returned to work November 12, 2012.

NTSB Says Five-Year-Old Girl Likely Contributed To 2010 Helicopter Accident

Child Was Seated In Her Father's Lap, Believed To Have Stepped On The Collective Control

This story is a true tragedy, and yet also a cautionary tale. The NTSB has released its probable cause report from a Valentine's Day, 2010 accident in which five people, including a five-year-old girl, were fatally injured when the helicopter they were aboard went down. And it would appear, at least to the NTSB, that it is "highly likely" the child stepped on the collective control of the aircraft, contributing to the accident.
