Textron has attained new certifications allowing each U.S. company-owned service center to support the Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker brands.

Duncan Aviation Receives Authorization To Complete Installations

Under an STC recently granted by the FAA, Duncan Aviation has completed an industry-first Controller Pilot Data Link Communications/Future Air Navigation System (CPDLC/FANS) 1/A+ installation. The STC covers the Challenger 601. The installation features the upgraded NZ-2000 Honeywell Flight Management System (FMS), which integrates with current Challenger 601 Original Equipment Manager (OEM) flight decks.

Facility To Advance Training Of Aeronautical Engineering Students

Singapore Polytechnic has opened its AeroHub which will house the Aeronautical and Aerospace Electronics Engineering laboratories, along with facilities typically found in an industry aircraft hangar. The new facility will also synergize the teaching and learning activities for Singapore Polytechnic’s Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (DARE) and Diploma Aerospace Electronics (DASE) students.
