Pratt & Whitney To Cut 1000 Jobs In Connecticut

Work Transferring To Georgia, Asia

Pratt & Whitney will cut 1,000 jobs from its two Connecticut locations, as it transfers that work to plants in Georgia, Singapore, and Japan. The plant in Cheshire, CT will be shuttered, and operations will be scaled back at the East Hartford location.

Groundbreaking Bio Jet Fuel Agreement Announced

Companies See Demand Of 280(M) Barrels Annually

BioJet Corporation (formerly JatrophaBioJet)and E85 LLC jointly announced Monday that they have executed a Bio-SPK forward contract for the sale by BioJet and the purchase by E85 of 4 million barrels of aviation bio jet fuel. The fuel delivered under this contract will meet ASTM International specifications.

AAR Selected By Continental Airlines For 757 Winglet Installation

Indianapolis Location Will Install Winglets On 16 Airliners

AAR announced Monday that it has been selected by Continental Airlines to perform winglet installations for 16 of the airline's Boeing 757-300 aircraft. The work will be performed at AAR Aircraft Services' Indianapolis location, the company's repair and overhaul (MRO) operation located at Indianapolis International Airport.
