Bombardier Tentatively Settles, But De Havilland Workers Continue Strike Action

Unofor Claims Contract Violated When Bombardier Sold The Dash 8 Program

More than 700 De Havilland workers at the Downsview plant remain on strike after the continued negotiations with the company failed to resolve the dispute. "Union members at the Downsview plant have always clocked in together, worked together, bargained together, and, when necessary, gone on strike together," said Jerry Dias, Unifor National President who started his career at the plant. "This situation was caused by Bombardier when they committed to not sell the Dash 8 program then proceeded to do just that."

AD 2021-11-23 Also Requires, For Certain Airplanes, An Update Of The Hydraulic Monitoring System To Include Additional Redundancy

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus SAS Model A350-941 and -1041 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a determination that new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations are necessary. This AD requires revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference.
