TSB Looks At Possibility Of Wind Shear During Storm
As Canadian investigators continue probing the runway accident
that destroyed an Air France Airbus A340 in Toronto last week, one
Transport Safety Board official confirmed Friday that Flight 358
landed unusually long -- farther down the runway than is customary
for that type of aircraft.
Southwest Airlines Flight 21 was isolated on the runway at Hobby
International Airport Friday and passengers were evacuated
one-by-one after one of them found a threatening note on board the
737.
Canadian safety investigators continued poring over the wreckage
of the first-ever Airbus A340 mishap in Toronto Thursday, looking
for clues into the off-the-runway mishap that destroyed the
aircraft but left all on board alive.
