Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, P-8A Poseidon Make First Airshow Appearances

Both To Be On Display, Conduct Demonstration Flights At Farnborough

Boeing has confirmed that the new 787-9 Dreamliner and the P-8A Poseidon will participate for the first time in flying displays at the Farnborough International Airshow, which runs July 14-20. This year's airshow marks the 40th anniversary of Boeing's participation at Farnborough. The 787-9 – flight test airplane ZB001 -- will be on static and flying display from July 14 through mid-day July 18.

U.S. DOT Expands Reporting Requirements For Incidents Involving Animals

All Air Carriers Must File Calendar-Year Report Of All Animals Transported, And If Any Were Injured Or Died

U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx on Tuesday announced a final rule that expands the Department of Transportation’s current requirement that air carriers report incidents involving the loss, injury or death of an animal during air transport to the Department. The rule will become effective on January 1, 2015.
