Bombardier announced Sunday its Board of Directors has granted
approval for the launch of the CSeries family of five-abreast
commercial airliners, intended to offer airlines superior
economics, performance, environmental and passenger-oriented
improvements for the next quarter century.
Predicts "Spectacular Casualties" In Global Industry
Dire predictions about the continued existence of a number of
airlines have become de rigueur these days... with each
prognosticator amping up the doom-and-gloom. Problem is... their
predictions are probably pretty close to the mark, if not dead
center.
It's one thing for a manufacturer to showcase its wares at a
high-profile trade show. It's even better when their customers do
it for them. Air India's newest Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range)
airplane arrived Saturday in Farnborough, United Kingdom, ahead of
Monday's opening of the Farnborough International Air Show.
