Airborne 05.19.14: B-29 'Doc' Gets Ready, AEA 1Q Market Report, Falcon 7X Records

The group working to restore the B-29 bomber named 'Doc' to an airworthy condition says that the airplane should be ready to fly by the end of the year. The B-29 project, is located in Wichita Kansas and is housed in a hangar donated by Boeing. The donation of space runs out at the end of this year. They hope to find a permanent home for Doc in Wichita, from where they will fly it around the country as a living museum. The Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) has released its first-quarter 2014 Avionics Market Report. VivaAerobus Starts A320 Operations In Mexico

Mexican Low-Cost Carrier Starts Fleet Transition; Will Become All-Airbus Operator In Mexico By 2016

Mexico City-based VivaAerobus formally launched its fleet transition to A320 aircraft after the airline started operating its first three Airbus A320 aircraft in April. The low cost carrier will receive an additional two A320s before the end of 2014.
