GovSat-1 Satellite Goes Operational

Provides Highly Secure And Advanced Communication Capabilities To Enable Critical Missions For Governments And Institutions

GovSat-1 entered operational service Monday, to provide secure communications to governmental and institutional users. GovSat-1 is the first satellite of GovSat, a public private partnership between the Government of Luxembourg and the world-leading satellite operator SES. The satellite was launched into space on January 31 aboard a flight-proven SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, and has since undergone extensive testing.

Air Transport International Pilots Ratify New Three-Year Deal

Includes Significant Pay Raises And Scheduling Improvements

The pilots of Air Transport Int’l (ATI), represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), have ratified a three-year collective bargaining agreement with significant pay raises and extensive scheduling improvements. Of the nearly 94 percent of ATI pilots who voted, 77 percent cast ballots in favor of the deal.
