World's Longest-Range Airplane, Makes Its Flying Debut
The first Boeing 777-200LR Worldliner, the world's longest range
commercial airplane, Tuesday completed its first flight and began a
test program that will lead to its first delivery in January
2006.
US air traffic controllers denied permission for an Air Transat
Airbus A310 to land in Florida after the plane literally lost its
rudder on a flight from Cuba to Canada Saturday, according to
Canadian news reports. The American controllers said they never
knew the flight, with 270 people on board, was in trouble.
