FAA Publishes RNAV NextGen Approaches To KPDX

The FAA announced Tuesday that pilots will start using new NextGen technology and procedures that will enable aircraft to fly more efficient, environmentally-friendly flights into Portland International Airport (KPDX) beginning next year.

Japan's Carrier Strengthens Its Network With All-Airbus Fleet

Japanese low-cost carrier Starflyer has taken delivery of its first ever directly purchased aircraft, an Airbus A320, during a delivery ceremony in Toulouse, France. The aircraft is the first of three A320s ordered by the company in 2011, and is powered by CFM56-5B4/P engines.

Horton Says The Company Could Look To Private Equity

AMR Corporation is nearing its exit from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, according to CEO Tom Horton, and could be willing to accept private equity to help bring the company back to solvency.
