Years ago, the mild-mannered metropolis of Rockford, IL, was
rocked by the loss of the (then) burgeoning annual EAA Fly-In --
who subsequently packed up and headed off to the (then) Wisconsin
wilderness known as Oshkosh. It's taken years for the city to get
over it...
The General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University a government-wide contract for
flight, security, and safety training. The contract is for five
years and allows for four five-year options.
Delivery Includes Textbook Donations From Seattle
University
Boeing and Vietnam Airlines are celebrating the delivery of the
national carrier's 10th 777-200ER. With its lotus tail gleaming,
the airplane is loaded with a special cargo of textbooks collected
by Seattle University and will depart for Hanoi Noiboi
International Airport Friday.
ANN Note: ALPA's Delta Airlines member pilots
have just authorized a strike vote... a move that many feel will
speed certain doom for the embattled airline.
