Awards Grants To Power STEM Initiatives In Puerto Rico
The JetBlue Foundation has awarded $135,000 in grants to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education programs in Puerto Rico to aid in long-term post-hurricane recovery. Grants of varying amounts were provided to organizations that are investing in the island’s future and placing aviation and STEM top-of-mind as career choices for students.
The Canadian Airports Council have welcomed the announcement of an Advisory Council on Jobs and the Visitor Economy to assist Minister of Tourism and Official Languages Melanie Joly in the development of a tourism strategy by next summer. As a major air transport stakeholder, Canada’s airports look forward to meeting with the council to bring high-level awareness to the challenges and opportunities facing Canada’s airports and industry partners.

Florida-Based Law Firm Announces Suit On Behalf Of Family Of Accident Victim
Attorney Curtis Miner, a partner at Coral-Gables, Florida-based law firm Colson Hicks Eidson and lead counsel for the plaintiff, today announced the filing of a lawsuit on behalf of one of the passengers on Lion Air Flight 610 against The Boeing Company, the manufacturer of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft that crashed 13 minutes after takeoff on October 29, 2018.
