Embraer's E170 and the E175 jets have received the Type Certificates validated by the Federal Air Transport Agency of Russian Federation, paving the way for Russian airlines to acquire these two aircraft types. The E190 and the E195 were already certified and Saratov Airlines is currently flying the E195.
Company Invests More Than $300 Million To Bring Enhanced Composite Production To St. Louis Region
Boeing has formally opened a new composite center on its St. Louis campus that will house the company’s largest commercial aviation work statement ever placed at the site.
During the third quarter of 2016 (3Q16), Embraer delivered 29 jets to the commercial aviation market, 38% more than the same period of 2015. The company delivered 12 large executive jets, 33% more than the same quarter of last year. However, total executive aviation deliveries fell around 17% when compared to 3Q15. On September 30, Embraer's firm order backlog totaled $21.4 billion.
Singapore Airlines Takes Possession Of The 10,000 Aircraft
Airbus recently celebrated the delivery of its 10,000 th aircraft - an A350-900 for Singapore Airlines. The milestone event was marked by a special ceremony in Toulouse hosted by Airbus Group CEO Tom Enders and attended by Goh Choon Phong, CEO of Singapore Airlines.
