A bipartisan U.S. Congressional delegation conferred in Montreal
Friday with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)
leaders regarding U.S. opposition to the European Union’s
emissions trading scheme (ETS). This costly EU scheme would impose
new taxes and emissions cap and trade requirements on U.S. and
other nations’ air carriers flying into and out of the
EU.

Dreamliner Fuselage And Wings
In a report released Thursday, the Government Accountability
Office said that it had identified safety concerns related to the
repair and maintenance of the composite materials used in the
Dreamliner's wings and fuselage, but also reported that the FAA had
properly followed its internal procedures in certifying the
airplane.
Man Allegedly Bribed TSA Agent To Get Bag Of Pot On Plane
The son of a former fire chief of Los Angeles has been arrested
for trying to smuggle 10-15 pounds of marijuana on a plane at LAX
the morning of October 16. 23-year-old Millage Peaks, Jr. is
charged with bribing a TSA employee to help him get the weed
through the airport in a checked bag for the flight to Boston.
