Order Bolsters Air China's Growing Widebody Fleet For International Expansion
Boeing and Air China have announced an order for six additional 777-300ER (Extended Range) jetliners. The order is valued at more than $2 billion at current list prices and bolsters Air China’s long-haul widebody fleet as it looks to expand its international network.

Airbus has exceeded its targets for 2015, achieving a new record of 635 aircraft deliveries for 85 customers of which 10 are new. These deliveries comprise: 491 A320 Family aircraft; 103 A330s; 27 A380s; and 14 A350 XWBs. This production achievement means that Airbus’ aircraft deliveries in 2015 were up for the 13th year in a row, surpassing the previous year-end delivery record of 629 aircraft – set in 2014.
ANA Becomes The World's First Airline To Reach Milestone
Boeing and ANA celebrated the airline's 100,000th revenue flight with the 787 Dreamliner during a gate ceremony at Sea-Tac International Airport Monday. The milestone marks yet another record for ANA as it becomes the first airline in the world to reach 100,000 787 flights.
Revenue Passenger Kilometers Rose Nearly 6 Percent Over Previous Year
The IATA announced global passenger traffic results for November showing continued strong traffic growth above the 10-year average rate of 5.6%. Total revenue passenger kilometers (RPKs) rose 5.9% compared to the year-ago period. Although below the October rate of 7.1%, this largely was owing to the impact of factors that are expected to be short-lived, including the cessation of operations by Transaero, Russia’s second largest carrier, and labor strikes at Lufthansa.
