One of the more unusual phone calls I have ever received
occurred a few years ago... from Anousheh Ansari... long distance.
About as long distance as it gets, these days, as Anousheh was
calling form the International Space Station where she was plainly

The South Korean space program has reportedly suffered a second
setback in less than a year, as a rocket carrying a climate
observation satellite has apparently exploded on its way to orbit
Thursday.
NASA has selected 18 innovative technology proposals for
negotiation of Phase 2 contract awards in the Small Business
Technology Transfer program, or "STTR." The selected projects have
a total value of approximately $11 million.
