Airborne 05.10.16: Waiex B-Model, Airbus Perlan Mission II, V-280 Valor

Earlier this year Sonex announced their latest aircraft development project, which is the Sonex and Waiex B-Models. Then at Sun ‘n Fun, they picked up the excitement by letting people know what these new aircraft looked like. They said the B-Models provide more of what their customers have been looking for, and now their first Waiex B-model airplane has taken flight. Orbital ATK Completes Installation Of World’s Largest Solid Rocket Motor

NASA’s Second Space Launch System Qualification Motor Test Scheduled For Late June

NASA and Orbital ATK have completed installing the second Space Launch System (SLS) booster qualification motor, QM-2, in a specialized test stand in Utah in preparation for a June 28 static-fire test. QM-2 is the second of two Orbital ATK-developed motors to support qualification of the boosters for NASA’s SLS, which is a heavy-lift rocket.
