Philadelphia Man Gets Year in Jail for Lasering Police Helo

Rapid Response from Airborne Assets Allows Efficient Arrest of Operator

A Pennsylvania man has received a sentence of 1 year in prison with 3 years of probation in addition to a $1,000 fine for his use of a laser on a police helicopter flying above. Last December the defendant, Raji Yusuf, a 36-year old already under supervised release, used a "high intensity green laser" to illuminate a police helicopter in flight near Northeast Philadelphia Airport. Archer Begins Wind Tunnel Testing on Prototype

Maker Aircraft Passes Bench Tests, NVH, Laminar Flow Analysis

Archer's wind tunnel testing of the propulsion systems used on the Maker aircraft have been completed, bringing full production one step closer to fruition. The Maker has plenty of testing to go, with the recent regimen aimed primarily at evaluating a full-scale motor and propeller system for the aircraft's forward pivoting props. The aft propellers were also a target of interest, as well as the interplay of their fixed position relative to the pivoting motors up front. The tests were first conducted off-aircraft, gauging the propeller performance across its operating envelope.
