Steve Hinton, Junior, Joins Heritage Flight Foundation Team

Air Race Champ, Speed Record Holder, and Jack-of-All-Trades Aviator Joins the Roster for 2022

The newest pilot to join the Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation for their 2022 season has been introduced, and prior to taking to the skies he took a bit to interview with the team. Hinton, in a classic example proving aviation runs in the family, is son of recent Super Bowl flyover pilot Steve Hinton Senior, himself a longtime staple of the Heritage Flight program for more than a quarter century. The younger Hinton is a 7-time Reno Air Race Gold Champion, taking consecutive winds in the unlimited class from 2009 to 2014, then once again in 2016.

EAA WomenVenture Announces Speakers

15th Annual Female Booster Event Held July 27th

EAA WomenVenture has announced the theme for 2022, selecting "Be Bold" as the focus of their 15th year encouraging and supporting women in aviation. The 69th fly-in for the EAA's yearly AirVenture will see the near entirety of the aviation world descend upon the Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The EAA's WomenVenture Center, a new addition to the week, will be placed in Aviation Gateway Park featuring a selection of network events to support the advancement of women in aviation, as well as resources for those currently in similar fields or looking to be a part of them in the future.

Joby, CAE Working on Training Systems

eVTOL Manufacturer Will Provide Knowledge, Know-How to Create Virtual Flight Training Equipment

Joby Aviation and CAE have partnered to develop a series of flight simulation training devices that will be used to train the future pilot cadre of their eVTOL aircraft. Using the foundation established by Joby over the past 5 years of their development process, CAE will work to develop pilot training devices specifically designed around the company's peculiar and distinctive aircraft. Joby intends to manufacture and operate its baby, which will require the company to retain training and simulation services for initial and recurrent flight training.

Oklahoma's Museum of Women Pilots Expanding

2nd Floor Will Expand Displays, Activities, and Education for Visitors

The 99s Museum of Women Pilots is expanding, taking up recently vacated space formerly used by its parent organization. The Museum has been located on the 2nd floor of the headquarters of The Ninety-Nines Inc, as a part of the International Organization of Women Pilots. With the organization's recent move, the Museum found a chance to expand into the new space, bringing more than 5,000 square feet to its exhibits.
