Pipistrel has signed an MOU with Eyre to There Aviation of Adelaide, Australia for the rights to manufacture the Pipistrel Alpha Electro in Australia. Eyre to There would be the first Australian company to manufacture and electric aircraft. The company could build as many as 100 airplanes each year. Rogers believes that the Australian GA industry is ready to accept an electric aircraft as a flight trainer. Eyre to There plans to import 15 of the airplanes from Pipistrel for demonstration flights and training as it gears up its own production line. Nearly 300 Students Take Part In Space Camp Thanks To Honeywell

Weeklong Experience Encourages Pursuit Of STEM Careers

Honeywell is bringing 296 students from 45 countries and 29 U.S. states and territories, all children of Honeywell employees, to Huntsville, Alabama, in the next two weeks to take part in the 10th annual Honeywell Leadership Challenge Academy (HLCA) at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center (USSRC). The two weeklong programs – February 23-27 and March 1-5 – encourage high school students ages 16 through 18 to pursue science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers through real-world, hands-on activities in coding, computer science, and astronautics.

Facility Will Add More Than 300 Jobs To The Local Economy

Blue Origin has opened its rocket engine production facility in Huntsville, AL. The world-class engine manufacturing facility in The Rocket City will conduct high rate production of the BE-4 and BE-3U engines. These engines will undergo testing at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center on the historic Test Stand 4670. BE-7, our lunar landing engine, is also currently in test at NASA Marshall.
