The AEA has released its 2017 year-end Avionics Market Report. Total worldwide business and general aviation avionics sales amounted to more than $2.3 billion. The figure represented a 2.9 percent increase in sales over the previous year. The increase reverses two-straight years of declining sales. 42.3 percent came from forward-fit (avionics equipment installed by airframe manufacturers during original production) sales, or more than $984 million. Airbus-Built Aeolus Successfully Passes All Tests In Belgium

Spacecraft Has Now Arrived In Toulouse For Final Checks

Aeolus, the European Space Agency’s wind sensing satellite, has left Liège in Belgium having successfully completed an extensive thermal and functional performance test campaign under in-orbit conditions. It will now undergo final checks at InteSpace test center in Toulouse, France, before being shipped to French Guiana in the summer ready for launch on a Vega launcher.
