NASA is offering undergraduate students an opportunity to participate in a new microgravity activity called Micro-g Neutral Buoyancy Experiment Design Teams (Micro-g NExT). The deadline for proposals is Jan. 28, 2015.
The first six satellites of the ORBCOMM Generation Two (OG2) constellation, designed and built by Sierra Nevada Corporation's (SNC) Space Systems, have completed all on-orbit checkout procedures, culminating in the transfer of operations from SNC to ORBCOMM in mid-September. The six satellites have already begun providing greater network efficiency for ORBCOMM’s global customers.

Lockheed Martin and Raytheon Company have successfully completed the fourth of five planned launch and early orbit exercises to demonstrate new automation capabilities, information assurance and launch readiness of the world’s most powerful and accurate Global Positioning System (GPS), the U.S. Air Force’s next generation GPS III satellite and Operational Control System (OCX).
