A Little Higher... Higher... That's Good!
The International Space Station is now orbiting the earth nearly
five miles higher than before, after astronaut Bill McArthur and
cosmonaut Valery Tokarev used the station's M-54 escape ship as a
booster rocket (remember Arthur C. Clarke's "2010"?) and fired the
pod's engines while it was docked to the space station.
